                                                                MY AVERAGE CHARGES -    SIMPLE TV REPAIR, PARTS UNDER $10 = $190.  WITH A REFURBISHED BOARD FROM MY STOCK  $320.

                           MAIN FOCUS- LCD, LED, OLED TVs.  Some - Plasma, CRT, VCRs, DVD, Audio & Arcade video machines, not pinballs.

                          Don't repair- projectors, rear projection TV, cameras, Laptops / computer / peripherals, car audio / video, phones, Pads, printers, white goods, Pinballs, Juke boxes, etc.

                                       LABOUR RATE $60 TO $80 per hr. DEPENDING ON PODUCTIVE HRS. ( Texting / calling with BRAND, MODEL, age very useful)

                           Parts can cost $2 to uneconomical - Some new boards expensive & screens uneconomical to replace.

                                I can't tell cost of TV repair until I inspect, do tests, diagnose faulty parts, try parts in stock or source parts / prices / availability  

                             & quote options / balance to repair. 2-hour cash deposit required.                   

                               ITS BEST TO HAVE Brand, Model, approx. age & suburb PRIOR TO CONTACTING as some model TVs / faults not worth repairing &

                             some distances make it unecconomial.  

                            Broken your TVs screen?  Uneconomical to repair but check home contents accidental breakage, I can write up an insurance report from $90.

                            Broken TV aerial connector From $120. Remote control repairs $50 deposit, consider replacing, I have over 600 remotes in stock from $30.

                            Callouts - Tuning channels, wrong buttons pressed etc. from $100 local.  Long callouts may be uneconomical $80/ hr + petrol/expenses. 

                               Pickups from $60 local, large TVs & or distance costs more, let me know if wall mounted (may require tools to remove)

                           

                            Confirm I'm available before dropping in, I do callouts 8am to12pm best times to text/call bring in / pickup repairs.

                            Imagine 10 long enquiries while I'm servicing "YOUR" TV! Short & to the point calls reduces costs. Labour rate is determined by productive hrs.

                           

                             As modern TVs are unreliable by design I give no warranties, I won't pay for your repair from my pocket.  

                             TVs left here clog up my work benches. Early pickup required or up to $20 per week storage fees apply.

                             I prefer repairs brought to me, callouts $80 / hr. + vehicle expenses.

                                   WHY CASH?  Imagine this, TV arrives 8.30 am & owner insists paying phone pay or bank transfer, I check an hr later - no payment, check 4 hrs later,

                                 still no payment, check next day etc. Meanwhile 9.30am TV comes in with $150 CASH deposit, I start immediately, REPAIRED 4 hrs later, 2hrs work & 2hrs

                                 enquiries, checking bank deposits etc.  $120 balance to pay for a used main board, ready for pickup, I leave for callouts back by 5 PM, owner picks up after

                                their work at 5.30 pm = SAME DAY SERVCE!  Next day first owner calls, asks if fixed yet?   I reply, " not received deposit yet!!"  Now imagine 4 x TVs all paid

                                bank transfers / phone pay etc.  sitting around until I see deposits... has happened!  THIS LEADS TO EXTRA CHARGES.

                                WHY NO CREDIT CARDS any expense reduces my wages, I keep my gross business income below $75,000 means you don't pay GST &

                                 I do my tax once per year = less office work = more productive hrs. Processing cards can reduce my wages by over $2000 per year so no thanks.

                                  Instead of bank fees I get bank interest!  Where did all the TV repairers go? Excessive overheads = $800+ unaccepted quotes & they go broke.

                                           All deposits, balances & callouts CASH! If I order expensive parts can pay bank transfer, OSKO. 

                            Do the math's before calling, a cheap $200 TV not worth a $200 repair or a 20-minute phone conversation, me explaining why. 

                            WHY NO WARRANTY Glad you asked. TVs were once touted most reliable domestic product, now most unreliable, 

                                     Got main brand TVs coming in not long out of warranty & you want me to guarantee their continued operation?  NO THANKS! 

                             Decades ago 26" TVs cost 8 weeks wages, with inflation should be now around $12,000 each. People buy a 60" TV with Wi-FI for $1,500  

                              & wonder why it only lasted 1/8 as long as their old box shaped TV.  Consumers are forcing manufacturers to make cheaper TVs.

                             The lower the cost the more they sell, If their TVs 10% dearer than the others they can go broke!

                             Phillips, Panasonic, AWA others, pulled out of making TVs, gave up producing cheap junk that gave bad reviews, you get what you pay for folks! 

                             

                              Now you could just buy a new TV every few years, but my records show a repaired TV often outlasts a new TV!  Each new model has even more

                              built in obsolescence to keep prices down. So, if I can repair a $1200 TV for $380 it should be a NO BRAINER! 

 

EARLY PICKUP REQUIRED       

People drop TVs in & go on holidays! Imagine the space 10 large screen TVs take up? I have perhaps largest TV repair workshop around,

but stuff left here clogs up my workshop, costs me money, costs you money, up to $20 per week for storage. I take no responsibility for

stuff that's stored here.

DROPPING OFF & PICKING UP                    Always call ahead to confirm I am in. 

As a general rule dropping off & picking up is best 8am to 12pm pm Monday to Saturday. If back from callouts/no callouts 2pm to 6 pm OK 

 

 BACKLIGHT REPAIRS, white dots on screen, replacing single or complete LED sets $290 to $390.

       NOTE * If I replace faulty LEDs & others fail later = more costs! I won't do further work at my expense. Replacing full sets best, but some                                    expensive, can take a month to arrive, some complete sets not available!     

 Note* as screens have to be removed & replaced there is a risk of screen failure (some screens glued in) this can write the TV off, you lose

your deposit, I lose time & money invested on parts.  New LEDs can be brighter / different than old on​es, causing slight uneven lighting. 

Can't guarantee perfect results every time.

                                         HOW CAN I DO REPAIRS AT LOW COST= LOWER OVERHEADS, I keep it simple, No credit cards. I WORK FOR CASH!

                             No shop rental costs (Large high set house= Large, well-equipped workshop under). No staff wages, I am a sole trader. 

                             I don't pay for advertising, relying on work of mouth for decades. I shop around for best deals on parts, test gear, etc.

                             My gross business income under $75,000 / year you don't pay GST on labor.  

                             Labour averages out to $35 per hr. with enquiries, office work, interruptions, etc.  And that has to maintain an extensive &

                             expensive stock of spare parts, specialized test gear & large well-equipped workshop. What's left has to support my family & pay bills.

                            Enquiries can take up half my day. PLEASE keep your enquiries short, imagine 10 enquiries while repairing "YOUR" TV.
